William duPont Gallery
The Grand Salon
This gallery adjoins the Visitor Center and pays tribute to the other historic Montpelier family – that of William and Annie duPont – who owned and lived on the property for most of the 20th century, establishing a renowned country estate and Thoroughbred training farm. The Gallery shows visitors what life was like during the duPont era, and displays objects from that period. The duPont Gallery also continues Montpelier's celebrated tradition as the center of vibrant and hospitable social life with a Grand Salon for events, concerts, presentations, and parties.
In addition, the The duPont Gallery contains the completely reinstalled "Red Room," created by Marion duPont Scott.
