Pier base/foundation
The remains of a foundation or pier-base in MT 556 (photograph taken looking towards the south-west). Note the difference between the greenstone boulders/large cobbles to the west, and the brick towards the east that may represent the inside of the structure.
For those wondering at the expanse of white within which Hope and Steve huddle near a heater, some of the new EZ-Ups came with sidings. Somewhat reminiscent of being on a campground (you keep hearing zippers as people go in and out of the tent), removing the wind chill factor does much to keep the archaeologists happy.
