Don’t mean to be a pain but my last name is spelled wrong…it’s Geisinger. Could this be updated?
Reply from A. Marshall: Ok, seems suspicious, but I guess we’ll trust you on that. Incidentally, props to you Lori (along with Megan) for the observation that Smokehouse East sounded like a good restaurant name. I totally stole your joke and misspelled your name, but glad to hear that hasn’t put you off from coming back! We all look forward to seeing you in ‘09.

I was looking at my trip pictures today. and was wondering if there had been any decision made about further excavations under the large evergreen(?) tree?
Reply from A. Marshall: In terms of Smokehouse East, it is mostly in the clear as far as the fir tree is concerned, so we should be able to return to that particular site without any problem. In 2009 we will be on the other side of the mansion, in the north yard, excavating the ca. 1808 detached kitchen. Oh, and if you ended up with any especially nice digital photos from the smokehouse, feel free to email them our way; maybe they’ll end up in the site report!
